Was talking to my colleague Kandy on our way to work on e company bus when we came to e topic of...ahem.... ghosts.
Kandy was telling me tt her young nephew is those kind of pple who possess yin yang yan, u noe, pple who can actually c those hao xiong di... (aka ghosts).
our conversation is something like this...
K-kandy
J-me!! :)
K: eh, tell u something huh, my nephew can c those things leh..
J: er.. wat thing?? *confuse*
K: those hao xiong di lar..
J: how cum huh?
K: he got those yin yang yan lor..
J: really meh? i dun really believe in this...
K: its true!!! there's one time when my sis (tt boy's mum)was walking up e stairs with my nephew hor, he was pointing to a empty space at e corner of e stairs and told his mum tt there'a someone standing there..
J: eh.. maybe there's really a person there leh.. his mum nv c izit?
K: no lar.. pple so big surely can c wan...
J: so its a ghost arh?
K: at first his mum thot he's lying.. but this is not e first time he mention seeing someone which other pple dun c.. so she brought him to c some shi fu lar.. then u noe wat e shi fu say he saw?
J: *sitting up straight and getting really interested* wat huh?
K: Tu Di Gong!!! ( 4 pple who dunno wat's tu di gong, its some god lar)
J: WAT? tu di gong? sure anot? not ghost but god arh?
K: ya lor..
at this, my KPO instinct prompt me to ask something interesting...
J: eh.. then u got ask him how tu di gong look like anot?
K: look like a normal person lar... how's different u wan him to be?
J: no.. i mean his dressing... he got wear those thick ancient robes anot?
K: no leh... my nephew say he was wearing modern clothing tt look e same as wat we wear...
i laughed so hard upon hearing this... tu di gong wearing modern clothes? WAHAHA.. UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Kandy,upon seeing me laugh like mad, said: i was puzzled too.. cos e 1 we worshipped at home wear ancient clothes.. but tt's really tu di gong lar...
this make me tink of e channel 8 9pm drama, zero to hero. (or hero to zero.. hee cant remember..) Is e nether world really so advanced? for those who watch e drama, u would noe wat im talking abt... those ahem ghosts can actually pay money so tt they can come to appear in our dreams.. and in order for them to ans our prayer, they had to pay money to e nether world authority.. and blah blah blah..
Most importantly, in e drama, all pple dress in modern clothes!! so far i oni c 1 ghost wearing those ancient robe... so i guess all of them have upgraded to modern dressing.. hee :)
so if e drama is really a gauge of the nether world, tink tu di gong could veri well be in jeans and t-shirt tt day when kandy's nephew saw him....
but one thing is still in my mind: wat could tu di gong be doing at e stairs? this question, i've yet to find any ans..............
