went to Ry's 21st bdae party on sat. it was held at the Grand Corpthorne Waterfront Hotel. we thot its a usual party, albeit held in a more grand place but we are so wrong. It was like a mini wedding lar. haha. VERY GRAND can??
there's even 4 pple playing violin(e big "violin" i dunno call wat so i take it as all violin lar..lol) in the reception place lo. dun play play, they're from the Singapore Orchestra lar. got standard de. ry employ them to play at a rate of $40/hr i heard. and THEY ARE ALL NUS MEDICINE STUDENT CAN!! haha. e 2nd guy from e left is quite cute but not very clear in this pic cos all his attention is on playing e pieces. haha

the board on the stage. looks like e wan used in wedding except tt in wedding its " who and who" and here, its HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY! haha.
the sec sch gang with e bdae princess in the middle. Ry's attire is like so wedding-like lar. haha
kx with rybet ry puts in a lot of effort for the party. they prepare slide show of ry's growing process; from baby time to adulthood. resemble weddings again where slide-show of e bride and groom will be shown from baby to adulthood. haha.
food wise its very good too. with western soup, bread, salad as starters. common dishes like pineapple rice, mee goreng and curry chicken are there too. more unusual food are cold crab and prawns served on ice, plates of sushi, smoked salmon, roast beef and etc. for desserts there's e purple chocolate fountain(yes, its purple chocolate!!), various fruit tarts, malay kuehs, cakes and fruits. too bad i dint take pics of it. its really a nice spread. i mean seldom u see japanese, western, malay and chinese food all in 1 buffet de leh. haha.
then there's this section where ry's father and jc frens go on stage to talk abt ry. its very funny cos all of them agrees that ry is fierce!! haha. ry's 2nd and little sister oso went up stage to sing her 2 songs, which e 2nd sis wrote herself. very touching leh.

we again!! :)
there's pretty roses and orchids on every tables so we decide to take them home. haha. i took 1 too but it die e very next day. *sad* here's kx and sy posing with their roses.
P.S: actually kx took 4 roses home!! HAHA thanks ry for e wonderful dinner. next week got to go for hw's party too. next next week there's deb party. haha. wat a busy september!! :)
